Irmão, irmãozinho, irmãozão

Brother, little brother, big brother (in free translation) is a book about discoveries: curiosity, fear, sadness, jealousy, anger, revenge, and above all, the love that grows and touches everything around.

It was made to help families and children better understand relationships and create a healthier and more welcoming environment for all: recognizing the importance of older children and thrilling with the arrival of younger ones.

Notes

1. This is a book in sequential art with solid cartoon influence. The story is visually told with few framing variations and, in a short time, as a kind of animation storyboard or a scene with a beginning, middle, and end. As you move through the pages, you can almost feel the characters moving across them.

2. All the animals represented in the book belong to the Brazilian fauna and are on the IUCN Red List.

3. The color scheme is made up of a tonal variation of green, blue and yellow, which are the colors of the Brazilian flag.

4. During the Covid-19 quarantine, I spent part of my time watching cartoons to relieve stress, sadness, anxiety, and fear. This book was made during that period and is a personal tribute to "The Amazing World of Gumball," one of my favorite tv series that helped me a lot during these difficult times.
