Nini, the Boy the Wind Carried Away is a middle-grade book written by Vini Rigoletto and published by Mazza Edições. The story follows Nini on a gentle journey about identity, belonging, ancestry, and the courage to embrace who you truly are.
For this project, I created both the illustrations — made entirely with colored pencils — and the book design, treating it as a complete experience: from the visual construction of the character and his world to the reading pace and the choice of paper stocks and finishes.
As a result, we created a beautiful, poetic, and sensitive book that speaks to children while also touching the adults who read along with them.
